Peace be unto the Saints:

I would personally like to express my gratitude to the Honorable Bishop Charles E. Blake, Presiding Prelate, and the General Board Members of the Church of God in Christ for my recent appointment to the position of President of the National/International Evangelism Department.   I am indeed honored to have this opportunity to serve the national church in this capacity.

All praises be to God, who looked through the hourglass of time and sanctioned this very day.  I truly bless him for making this possibility a reality.  In taking the helm of this department, I solicit the effectual and fervent prayers of the righteous.

Furthermore, I would like to celebrate Pastor Dennis Martin and his team for their remarkable contributions and accomplishments during his servanthood.  We acknowledge and salute your devotion, commitment and service to the Evangelism Department.  I sincerely appreciate and would like to thank you, in advance, for your support during this transition.

It is my earnest intention to focus my energy on “Soul Winning”.  It is imperative, as Pastors and Evangelists, that our preaching is not in vain.  During this season of economic and moral despair, so many people are seeking answers.  Our job is to inform them that Jesus is the Answer!  We must rise to the occasion and preach that Jesus still saves, forgives, heal and mend. With this approach, we will effectively assist the People of God in establishing an authentic relationship with God. 

In the near future, the leadership team of the Evangelism Department will be established.  I’m in constant prayer for the unity of this department and for guidance, from the Lord, regarding the aforementioned.

I look forward in working to implement the vision of our Presiding Bishop and working closely with AIM Chairman Sheard, Department Auxiliary Leaders, COGIC Jurisdictional Evangelism Departments and the entire body of believers.
